Ameris Bank Names Debra Williams VP, Business Banker.

Woodstock, GA - Ameris Bank is pleased to announce that Cherokee County native Debra Williams has joined the Ameris Bank team as VP, Business Banker for the company's location in Woodstock. Her new responsibilities will include developing business banking relationships throughout Cherokee County. Williams will work closely with Ann Morgan, Woodstock Branch Manager, and Regional President Lawton Bassett.
In making the announcement, Bassett stated, "Debra and her family have deep roots in the Woodstock community. Having her onboard will allow Ameris Bank to deepen our roots here as well. We're very excited to have Debra on our team."
Williams has 21 years experience in the banking industry with extensive lending and operational knowledge. She served as long-time AVP at Cherokee Bank and held a position at the original Bank of Canton prior to that. A graduate of the Community Bankers Association - Commercial Lending School, Williams also holds diplomas in General Banking, Bank Operations, Consumer Lending, and Banking and Finance.

Deeply involved in the community, Williams volunteers regularly with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and is a past board member and Volunteer of the Year. She is a graduate of Leadership Cherokee and currently serves on the steering committee of that organization. In addition, she is involved with Main Street Woodstock, A Day for Reinhardt University, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Foundation and others.
Debra, her husband Stacey, and their children Blake and Torie are from Cherokee County.
